Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a author, performer and actress in America for the past 40 years. Most famously, she is known for her role as Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). She began acting in stage shows during the 1950s beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the 1950s, she appeared as a stage performer in several Broadway productions before gaining into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner's debut in 1957. Within the same calendar year she released her first musical album, It's Tina Time. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was as Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, which was a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. While in New York, Louise enrolled in Actors Studio and began her relationships with Lee Strasberg. The next notable role she played was Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her with in 1964. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters to counter her image of glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has gained recognition as a director on several popular TV shows like Supernatural. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was just three where she subsequently spent her childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and has been settling down to Toronto since then.
